It doesn’t get any better or any easier than this
Crab Dip à la the Refuge Inn
- 1 lb. Crab meat
- 1 8oz. pkg cream cheese
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- Old Bay to taste
- Cayenne pepper to taste
- Softened cream cheese
Combine ingredients & bake at 350 degrees for 30 mins.

I will be visiting the Inn next week with my 80 yr old father. He made the reservations (that’s good!), but didn’t get info on where in the area to eat.
I know restaurants come and go; even so, it would be helpful if you could add a list and short description of local eateries to your website.
Perhaps I have missed such a page – if so, will you inform me how to access it? Thanks. kk
Thank you for your response and excellent idea! Here’s a link to the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce’s restaurant page: http://chincoteaguechamber.com/restau.html. Hope this helps!
We are just home following a wonderful week at the Refuge. We visited Chincoteague year after year when our children were young, but strayed when they got older. This was a wonderful opportunity to return to our roots and visit the old haunts again. We found the Refuge Inn to be thoroughly accomodating and wonderfully friendly. We met no one on site who did not offer us a cheery greeting. Our rooms were absolutely clean and well maintained. The facilities were well beyond our expectations. Needless to say, we will be back.
That is what we love to hear, come back soon
